To me it seems like Ubi designed this operator to be more socially aware, in the same way that Blizzard has with their characters in Overwatch (although the Soldier 76 thing seemed unnecessary).
Which is fine, except there's no way in hell she would be fit for duty in any special forces unit on the planet.

While BMI doesn't always account for muscle mass, and can sometimes be skewed by numerous external factors outside of just body fat, it doesn't take a health professional to notice that Gridlock isn't muscle mass. For reference, a BMI of 30 > is classified as "obese". However, trying to say she's an active member of the SASR while maintaining a BMI of 32 is straight up not possible. Can now not be destroyed with bullets once a stringer has been deployed. Loses damage capability, now solely functions as a slow!.
